Photo 1 Photo 2

Photo (1) on the left, shows the vertical stabilizer COM antenna on an RV-3.

Photo (2) on the right is a RV-4 Vertical Stabilizer COM antenna and fairing with Bob Archer's VS COM antenna mounted inside. The fairing extends over the top of the rudder.  With the fairing installed on the RV-4 VS, the VS assembly is the same height as the RV-8 VS assembly.

Both fairings are taller at the back edge to make the top level in level flight.  This compensates for the slope on the top of the vertical stabilizer and rudder.

Flush mount Transponder Anrtenna shown with BNC adapter installed.

8 3/8" outside diameter.  7"diameter housing.  Weight 2 3/4 pounds.

NOTE: The antenna's flat surface is facing down in this picture.

Photo 2, on the right is a picture of the antenna from the bottom of the fuselage.
